Such generosity came after she accidentally dropped LA Police Commission President Steve Soboroff’s mobile phone as they sat courtside at the Clippers NBA playoff game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.
The pair were attempting to take a selfie together, when Rihanna suffered an attack of ʙuттerfingers, dropping the device onto the floor and cracking the screen.

And the 65-year-old kept his followers updated about developments, saying: ‘BIG @rihanna news: she’s donating $25,000 to @LAPoliceFdtn for cadets & families of fallen officers.’
He also revealed he was auctioning his mobile to raise more money for the good cause, after getting her to sign it of course, with the Barbadian beauty writing: ‘Sorry! I ♥ LAPD. Rihanna.’
As of Wednesday morning, the phone had reached a highest bid of $10,500 on ebay.
Half the money raised from the auction will go towards the LAPD Cadet program, with the other half going towards the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation to support the families of fallen officers. The LAPD has lost five officers since March 7.
